Food Pantry

The Food Pantry began in 1999 and has approximately 50+ volunteers. In 2011 there were 3,386 food boxes totaling 100,450 lbs given to 12,260 family members in south Colorado Springs. The Connections4Life Food Pantry provides the most basic need of feeding the hungry. Life Skills classes are then provided to help overcome the issues that brought them here. From the moment a family walks through the door, we are truly blessed to be able to help. We celebrate with them as they achieve their goals and climb above their circumstances. The Food Pantry distributes food every Thursday from 5:30pm until 7:30pm.

Connections 4 Life Center
The Vision
To minister the love of God to those in need, bring them into a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

What we do
Bring hope, healing, new life, and changed lives through meeting basic life physical needs, life skills training, crisis situation support, loving and healthy relationships, and the unconditional love that can be found in Jesus Christ.

How we do it
  • Provide food for those in need.
  • Provide life skill training to change the factors that have led to the current needs.
  • Provide help for those finding themselves in unexpected and/or unwanted pregnancies.
  • Provide help and healing for those emotionally wounded.
  • Provide a safe and fun environment for social interaction and relationship development.

We focus on the individual
The difference begins with the initial intake process which has been refined for 12 years. The 4A’s; Assessment, Advocacy, Assignment and Adoption process is where we structure a simple and easy plan for the client to follow. We refine the focus of the plan as the individual responds with an ultimate outcome that guarantees success.
Resume/Job Interview

This is an extremely important skill that our young people and those in the military who are finishing their tours need to learn. We are accumulating a donated wardrobe of business dress outfits that the job searcher can borrow to improve their image during the interview.
Military Family Support

These programs will include dealing with PTSD, special marriage and family issues associated with the military life, provided healthy relationships, friendships, and care for those left behind as loved ones are deployed. The C4L Center works closely with the military chaplains and base leaders with both on base and C4L Center activities including social gatherings, Bible studies, and ministry groups.
Life Skills

Life skill classes will be held at the C4L Center dealing with practical issues such as maintaining a house, cooking and nutrition, resume writing and interviewing skills, special needs childhood education, healthy life styles, healthy marriages, parenting, infant care, mixed marriages, blended families, and dealing with emotional wounds and pain. These courses will be taught from a Biblical perspective.
